The document styles available are summarised below.

Style Purpose
General:  
document a normal document
manual a manual
paper a technical paper
Administration:  
admin generic administration document
fax a fascimile
memo a memorandum
newslttr a newsletter
minutes minutes of a meeting
Miscellaneous:  
listing a source code listing

For HTML output, the general styles are all the same. For PostScript output, they typically differ as follows:

  • document - single-sided, busy cover page, busy headers/footers, table of contents
  • manual - double-sided, simple cover page, simple header/footers, table of contents
  • paper - single-sided, no cover page (just a centered title), simple header/footers, no table of contents.
